Experienced Accountant

The company

Merqurio is a group of companies in the pharmaceutical sector, specialising in Digital Marketing, Sales and Medical-Scientific Information services, and in a phase of strong growth.

The role

General, tax and cost accounting, management control and year-end closing.

We are looking for someone with experience in managing general, tax and cost accounting, able to handle the main administrative and accounting activities independently, and with skills in management control and year-end closing procedures.

What you will do

You will mainly be responsible for:

managing general accounting;
recording and checking accounting entries;
accounts receivable and accounts payable;
bank reconciliations and account balancing;
handling tax obligations and tax accounting;
preparing adjusting, correcting and closing entries;
supporting the preparation of the annual financial statements;
managing cost accounting by cost centre, job and/or business area;
management control, cost analysis and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts;
preparing periodic financial and management reports for the Management;
analysing the profitability of the different business areas, services and jobs;
managing administrative documentation and relations with external consultants and professionals.

Requirements

a diploma in Accounting and/or a degree in economics;
significant experience gained in administrative offices, professional firms or structured companies;
good knowledge of ordinary accounting and tax regulations;
experience in preparing the entries required for year-end closing;
knowledge of cost accounting and the main management control methods;
ability to read and analyse financial data, costs, margins and variances;
excellent knowledge of Excel and good familiarity with the main accounting software;
precision, reliability, analytical skills and autonomy in organising your work.

Preferred qualification

Experience in managing the full accounting cycle up to the preparation of the pre-tax financial statements, and in producing management reports and margin analyses, will be considered a plus.

What we offer

A 6-month fixed-term contract under the national collective agreement for the Graphics and Publishing sector (CCNL Grafica ed Editoria – small industry), level 4, with the possibility of becoming permanent after the 6 months.
Indicative gross annual salary of €27,000 (13 monthly payments).

Place of work: Naples. Full time. Extensive use of home working.
